“Moody Blue” 1976 Coronet DC 21 SOLD!

A stunning classic power boat which has been very thoroughly updated and maintained to excellent standards by her present owner, a Chartered Engineer, who bought her in 1984.

She was re-engined in 2002 with a Volvo Penta KAD32 diesel, of 170hp, driving a Duoprop outdrive, which gives top speeds in excess of 35knots, coupled with excellent cruising economy averaging around 1.1 litres/mile, or less than 5gph at cruise (18 to 25kts dependent on sea state). Her handling and seakeeping are of a standard that would be expected of the classic Coronet marque.

She was completely stripped, planed and epoxy coated below the waterline, and all topsides enamelled, by an International main dealer in 2003. The boat was valued for insurance at £28,000 in July 05. She was also inspected under the RNLI sea-safety scheme and commended for her general state of seaworthiness, and the particular regard to safety.

The previous owner has cruised around the Dee & North Wales coast, The Fal estuary and Helford River, and the Kent coast to Tower Bridge, and has crossed the Channel in her.
