Uriah Heep, built 1946, of teak; keel, frames, webframes, bulkheads,
planking, deck, everything. Deckbeams of unknown but very rotresistant tropical hardwood. Teak
floorplanks and wheelhouse. Wheelhouse extended in solid teak, for
access to aft cabin end ER.
Stainless steel A316 watertight doors from former cargohold to stairs

yet and
A316 tanks for daily fuel 100L each.
MAN engines, 119 BHP, 150 runninghours. PRM gearboxes. Kubota 8KVA
generator 220 V, 100 runninghours. converter 1500W and chargers main
and engines 24V and 12V. Interior very very basic but additional solid mahogony bulkheads and
doors installed/included.
Condition to my knowledge no rot, all hard and solid. Approx.80% of
interior admirality paint removed, some work left. Some old damage
repairs to port stern planking now tight and without movement but not
100% fair on hull.
Deck rerubbered 1998 in need of attention (in progress) Last haul out
2005 and planned this summer for fresh paint and a lot of varnish.
In general everything is there including a lot of mahogony for
interior construction, good mecanics but better interior needed. Last
survey 1997 by Paul M. Stevens. All photos 2005.
The Heep is presently moored in Marina Port Zeelande, approx.
40 km southwest of Rotterdam.
