Coquet - SOLD!

Coquet was built for the R A S C in 1945 by British Power Boat at Hythe.


She is Double diagonal Mahogany on rock elm frames.


I bought her in May  2003 in Cornwall, bought her back to N Devon and started a 2 year re- fit  she was gutted and striped back to bare wood ,repairs made and re painted right through in and out, then all new machinery fitted –Engines – G –Boxes –Shafts –Hyd Steering –Electrics –Galley  - Nav Equipment  in fact everything. All works were carried out by professionals.

Engines 2 Daewoo. LO 34 TIM 135 HP. engine hours Port 464 Starb 436 Gear Boxes   TK 190. same hours.
The Engines and Gearboxes were  supplied by  Watermota of south Devon.
The port engine has extra 12volt alternator to charge the domestic batteries.
Fore locker rope /chain with deck hatch plus escape hatch from forward cabin,
Forward cabin with bunks to sleep 4, table, with galley microwave fridge- gas cooker/oven grill sink, wc with shower –hand basin  pressure water system. hot via port engine plus immersion.


Wheelhouse. manual steer pump. engine morce controls electronics Icom m601 radio. . Navico DL 150 speed log . 12 and 24 volt fuse box . .gas storage locker . Chart table plus chart storage locker.

The wheelhouse will sit aprox 5+ helmsman the seating makes up to 1 single bunk.

Aft cabin with bunks to sleep 4. hot water clarifier under floor. Roof escape hatch .255lt cold water storage tank with pressure pump for hot - cold

Engin room gearboxes connected to flex couplings with new ss shafts with rope cutters and using original props ..6 fans for ventilation, mains battery charger, 2,300 watt petrol generator in roof locker, shore power lead. batteries under floor plus 1 more emergency batteries in wheelhouse .

Open back cockpit with sea toilet Vetus steering ram under floor connected to original steer linkage and rudders plus electro hydro pump .2 RACOR spinners-filters ,with water sensors for engine fuel.

Aft deck With new alloy fuel tanks 350 lts each.under .with removable top for access

Behind is steering linkage hold with some room for storage.

With bathing platform adjustable. Davits for tender (tender not inc)

Pumps there are 5 auto electric with manual settings all controls in wheelhouse plus 3 manual pumps with valves for each compartment.

Flying bridge . with manual steering pump, helm seat.

Behind there are 6 storage lockers /seats access to top via wheelhouse and aft deck

I think you would not find a boat in this condition as she has had lots of money spent on her.

I have done a lot of trips from N-Devon to Dover -France -Isles of Scilly - west Wales-south Wales -Lundy isle. Plus a trip down through the French waterways.

She comes with ropes /fenders/anchors

Fuel she uses aprox 4 1/4gal per engine per hour . I regularly do the journey from Ilfracombe to Lundy isle, in 1hour 15 min aprox 21nm weather permitting

Coquet would make a very comfortable live aboard

I have been quoted £950 to move her 250 miles from N.Devon +cranes

Now out of the water in harbour in north devon.
